The Clinical Peer Reviewer Assistant is responsible for assisting the clinical peer reviewers in daily functions as well as performing audits for quality improvement projects, practitioner compliance with standards, and  to monitor practitioner variation as identified by the Clinical Peer Reviewers.

The Clinical Peer Reviewer Assistant is expected to communicate directly with a practitioner’s office to provide one-on-one education pertaining to the utilization management and/or improvement processes; assist the Clinical Directors with Quality Improvement Projects or Work Plan Activities pertaining to the Clinical Services Departments including, but not limited to, scope of practice issues. 

The ideal candidate must have: 

  • Current, unrestricted license and registration to practice their specific health discipline; state specific as defined by regulation, verified through primary source verification by credentialing department
  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience
  • Familiarity and ability to critically read, understand and synthesize the indexed scientific literature concerning practice guidelines, particularly those guidelines and parameters that involve the discipline-specific literature and practice.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory and accrediting agency guidelines is beneficial.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time and perform typing/keying tasks.
  • Experience in computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Access.
